- It was really foggy this morning. I couldn't see the house when I was at the gate halfway to the calf shelter.
- I heard geese calling to the east. I thought for sure it was summer residents, but a minute later about 20 of them wheeled over my head in "V" formation. They were so low and so close that I could hear the wind through their feathers. They really looked big and healthy. I guess the migration is starting.
