Summer 2007

- Accumulated a load of scrap every two weeks.
- Scrap processing/organizing.
- Had some hydraulic hoses rebuilt and installed them on the back-hoe.
- Fence line required trimming every two weeks.
- Regular care and upkeep for the animals. Feed mill, sawdust runs, regular maintenance.
- Installed rain-gutter on the shelter for the calves; rain-gutter and down-spout was a gift from the scrap.
- Stanley and I worked on the bathroom renovation for 17 days straight. We still are not finished. Rot had done lots of damage. Had to replace about 1/4 of the floor and rebuild one beam. The air-tools came in handy for impacting the lag bolts and chiseling various materials. Highlights of the new bathroom include: tile floor, a self supporting modular bath/shower unit, heat lamps in the ceiling fan, extensive user friendly cabinetry, heater with fan, new electrical infrastructure. I hate doing renovations or other projects that require the careful use of a measuring tape. So far approx 6k was spent on project, we'd estimated about 5k so we are pretty happy.
